There are 12 parking spaces by the Memorial Hall; use of these spaces is by permission only. These are for the sole use of those hiring functions rooms and those visiting the Foundation Office. Signage clearly states that unauthorised users of this car park will receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Those attending the site to use Memorial Playing Fields, Tennis Courts, Thatcham Bowling Club and 2nd Thatcham Scout Hut MUST use one of the two public car parks:
- War Memorial Car Park operated by SMART Parking.
- Gilbert Court East Car Park operated by West Berkshire Council.
War Memorial Car Park
Whilst the car park is owned by Thatcham Memorial Foundation all day–to–day operational matters are the responsibility of SMART Parking. Income from the car park is used for the ongoing maintenance of the Thatcham War Memorial and contributes to the ongoing maintenance of the Playing Fields. The car park is monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR).
