On Friday 15th March, Thatcham Memorial Foundation took part in the Great British Spring Clean as part of the Keep Britain Tidy litter picking campaign. Due to the number of storms that have occurred recently, there has been a significant amount of waste and recycling being displaced across the area – most of it landing in the Thatcham Memorial Playing Fields. Litter was collected from the car parks, the playing fields, and the tennis courts, making a huge difference to the cleanliness of the site.
A huge thank you to the ladies from the Thatcham Women’s Institute for volunteering your time and efforts to help us keep our site clean and litter free.
