The benches have been fully refurbished, freshly sandblasted and repainted to restore them to a clean, durable finish. They are now positioned around the field to give visitors easy places to pause, rest, and enjoy the space once again.
A spokesperson for the Thatcham Memorial Foundation said: “It’s wonderful to see the benches back where they belong. They’re a small but important part of how people use the playing fields, and we’re pleased to restore them for everyone to enjoy.”
